The best library I’ve ever been to. The friendly staffs and the book collection are the main reasons we come here so often.

There's a really cool vibe here. I love Libraries, & have since I was like five or so. I love to create/sketch/relax my mind in Libraries; & very often i let my mind & thoughts take over for a few hours in a Library. It's a truly wonderfully freeing thing. I've frequented many different libraries throughout the northern half of GA. (from Macon, GA^) This one is the absolute Best that I've visited thus far. 🤙 Their book selection; area/space; ambience; solitude; etc are all very top notch for someone like myself. Their Staff seems very friendly/kind & very helpful as well. I Definitely Recommend! Maybe try & go free your minds up a lil' sometime; & possibly let your thoughts wander for a couple hours? It's fun. VERY. I certainly do; & it's a fabulous place to do just that. Anyway; Thanks for letting me ramble on here; & Big Thanks to Athens-Clarke County Library. I moved here recently & this has already been such a cool place for relaxation; expression; quietude; & solace. Thx for allowing me to be comfortable there. Be Well All. ***Please Everyone (!!!): FOREVER support Public Libraries, bc duh?!!*** Word. -👽✌️

I've been a patron of this Library for 55 years and I've never had a problem that a staff member could not solve. The computer center is greatly appreciated by the community because now they have added a scanner to fax or email documents. Try out the genealogy section to learn about the past, and the Library store appreciates new shoppers who like adorable gifts for friends or family members.

Always a delight to be at the Athens library. Love the app and how easy it is to search for and request books from libraries across the state. So many great resources, events, services here. Also the Friends store is charming nook and clearly a labor of love… and now serves basic drip coffee!

I enjoyed being able to access the system for a short while. And I'm glad it's available to the community, for those who might benefit from it. In general, staff are helpful and amenable. However, the policies around renewals of items that can sometimes take 3-4 months to be filled, and then can't be renewed because of existing holds is one of the most inefficient policies for a service like this. One would think readers would be allowed a standard minimum number of renewals without having to incur late fees, or having to call in to fix the issue, which depending on who you get at the circulation desk will either override the system or you're left with the laissez-faire response of, "yes, it can be an inconvenience." Recommend simple fixes to improve functionality of your lending service.
